In an effort to ensure the safety and well being of our residents, the City of Norwalk reminds residents and property owners that your sidewalks must be cleared within 12 hours after a snow event ends. Norwalk City Council passed ordinance 2008-042 on October 21, 2008 setting forth the rules for snow and ice removal. It is the responsibility of the agent, tenant, or occupant of any premises located in city limits to make their front, sides, and rear sidewalks safe for travel.
