The Law Director serves as the general legal counsel to city officials and
prosecutor of misdemeanor cases in the Norwalk Municipal Court.
If a person wants to report a criminal offense, they should initially contact either
the Norwalk Police Department or Huron County Sheriff's Office if the alleged
incident occurred in one of the townships. The Norwalk Police Department or Huron
County Sheriff's Office will prepare a report for the Law Director to review and
determine if there is a proper basis for a criminal prosecution.
