The Huron County Workforce Response Team has been formed in response to the growing needs of the unemployed in our community.  The group is a collaborative effort among Huron County Job & Family Services, the City of Norwalk, and the Norwalk Area-Huron County Chamber of Commerce.  The members are comprised of public servants, educators, and private business people who are concerned about the welfare of our community.

Based on a concept that began in Dayton, Ohio, the response team seeks to provide information on resources available in this area for unemployed workers.  Outreach events will be scheduled monthly, on a variety of topics.  The team is divided into five groups - Jobs, Education & Training, Communication, Financial Education & Resources, and Family & Wellness – each focusing on a different aspect of unemployment needs.

The response team is also working in conjunction with the Norwalk Reflector to provide a spot on the Reflector’s website where unemployed workers can find pertinent information that may be helpful.  www.norwalkreflector.com.

The Reflector has been running weekly articles pertaining to the unemployed workforce in Huron County.  Below are links to past articles.
