 Education Is Important In The City Of Norwalk

We offer many and varied educational opportunities for our residents for lifelong education. With two outstanding kindergarten through grade 12 local schools - one public system and one parochial system, the City is also within easy driving distance of many opportunities for higher education and lifelong learning.


With six buildings located throughout Norwalk, Norwalk City Schools offer excellence in education for just under 3,000 students from pre-k through high school. Residents of the far north end of Norwalk are part of the Edison Local School District.

Norwalk Catholic Schools offers parochial education from pre-k through high school. Fully accredited by the Ohio Board of Education and the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association, NCS and St. Paul High School provide quality education to over 700 students.

Firelands College of Bowling Green State University.

Located 12 miles north of Norwalk, BGSU Firelands is a full college of Bowling Green State University and an accredited member of the North Central Association of Colleges. BGSU Firelands offers the community a wide array of educational opportunities in the Firelands region.
